Humbertiella is a bark-imitating genus. They are small to middle-sized, very fast mantids.
Mantids from this genus are very aggressive, so they should not be kept together, even the nymphs (but L2 to L3). Both genders should be single-kept.
At present, at least 10 species are described: e.g. Humbertiella ceylonica (SAUSSURE, 1869), H. indica (SAUSSURE, 1869) and H. similis (GIGLIO-TOS, 1917). Typical look of the nymphs:
- L2 and up: like bigger nymphs
Humbertiella are very fast mantids, which are hunting and living at the bark of trees.
