Peruphasma

Peruphasma are beautiful phasmids who imitate scorpions. They also can secret a defensing- fluid, target- oriented. It can lead to irritation in human eyes and nose, but this goes away after several minutes.

At present, at least 4 species are described: Peruphasma anakena (CONLE & HENNEMANN, 2002), P. nigra (CONLE & HENNEMANN, 2002) and P. schultei (CONLE & HENNEMANN, 2002).
